Hi!
There are some people I know that add stamping to everything they touch, making their days crafty. I have to admit, I need to plan to do this. Partly because my stamps and such are in the basement and my every day living is upstairs :) We were sending my mom a smartphone she ordered and my husband configured for her. I figured new business cards were in order as she had to change her cell number. Not being able to find just the right image and knowing I had the right stamp to match her new case, I just printed her info, then sat down to stamp and colour the cards.
The image is the Cherry Blossom background by Local King Rubber Stamp, stamped with black Staz On ink. Interesting thing happened though. These new double sided business cards I picked up by Avery are coated in a kind of plastic. I got the black ink to stay, but when I used my markers to colour in the flowers and leaves, the black smeared! Don't quite get why this happened, but I will be careful if trying to do this again with these type of blank cards....
Hugs!

Layers
Hello!
This is my first post as a Guest Designer for Quirky Crafts Challenges! You have until March 1 to post your project with the theme of 'Layers'. The challenge is being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and I was given one of her images to play with. This 'Smart Owl' really tickled my owl fetish I've had lately :) I had this paper from Kaisercraft called 'What a Hoot' that I had picked up because I LOVED it but no plans. This image gave me a plan to do with it. I started off by printing 4 copies of the image onto copic paper, about 3" square (the nice thing about digi images... you can resize to your use!)
I coloured the images with my Stampin' Up markers, then cut out layers from two of them. Once finished colouring, I cut out a full image with Spellbinders Labels 2. The spare image was roughly cut out and used as a mask to cover the colouring and then sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang: Treasure Island Turquoise.
I covered a card front with a 5x6.5" piece of the pattered paper, then a 4.5x6" of the reverse side. The ribbons running down the side are from Magenta and Maya Arts. The die cut image was matted with a piece of the same paper then pop dotted onto the front of the card. The pieces I cut out of the other coloured images were then pop dotted on top of the main image.
Finishing touches include the 'Thanks' stamp by Stampin' Up, White Zig Wink of Stella brush on the glasses and a couple of green plastic squares from my kit.

Valentine 5.0
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
I hope you are able to do something special with someone you love today! Be it a significant other, a friend, your kids, your parents or hey! How about yourself!?
I made this card a while back and saved it for today.
The card is 6x12" Die Cuts With a View green shimmer paper folded in half and the front hand cut into a heart shape. I placed a 6x6" piece of Life's Journey paper by K&Co. on the inside and then free cut a heart shape for the front.
The image is one from Whimsy Stamps called Hopeful (Wee Stamps collection). I coloured her with my SU! markers then fussy cut her out.
Then I started layering... In the center is a Mrs. Grossman Grapevine Wreath sticker, then I placed my coloured image. I stamped then punched out the 'Love' seal (also from Whimsy Stamps) and adhered it to the top right.
Final touches include heart shaped charms and white cord.
Have a great day! Hugs!

Valentine 4.0
Allo!
Today I wanted to show you some small valentines I made for a couple special girls. I made 45 of each set for the two girls.
The picture is of a valentine project she made last year. I just tought it would make such a cute valentine! Cut out, and double matted with various pinks from Michaels' cardstock pack. The harlequin heart is from Hero Arts and the greetings are retired from Stampin Up!
This next set is a puzzle I found in a paper years ago figuring I could use it for a Valentine one day. Also cut out and double matted with the same papers. The tag shaped stamp and greeting are retired from Stampin' Up!
One more to go! Hugs!

Valentines 3.0
Bonjour!
I am so stoked! I am a Guest Designer for the next two months with Quirky Craft Challenges! Woo Hoo! Check them out if you havn't yet. A fun challenge every two weeks!
And back to my valentine week! Today I used the little tear shape that cut out from yesterday's valentines. I only had about 40 of them in various shades of pink... I had a pre cut folding card in my stash with a nice green background so I started with that and added the cut outs, petal style with my glue pen. Then I added some dollar store adhesive pink bling for a finishing touch. I hand sketched the leaves.
Here is the card open. The multiple 'love' stamp in the center is from the UK and the vertical 'To My Valentine' is from Viva Las Vegas Stamps. Another half flower and a heart shaped paperclip finish it off.
Another idea to come tomorrow!

Valentines 2.0
Hello!
In case you've been wondering, yes, I am married to a computer programer. Hence the 1.0 and 2.0 :)
Today I have the Valentines I've been working on for my stamping club. I found this beautiful metal die cut from Memory Box and thought of at least 3 different ways to use it on the spot. (The criteria for buying anything new from now on) So I cut out a pile of them with Michaels pink cardstock value pack.
They just fold in and the little tabs hold them closed! Cute or what! Then I took out all the hearts I've been collecting over the years and started stamping. The small hearts are a Hero Arts set from a while ago, the larger harlequin heart is also Hero Arts and the greeting is a retired Stamping Up! The inks are various pinks I have in my collection. See that little tear shaped cut out? Check in tomorrow to see what I did with it!

Valentines 1.0
Hi all!
I've spent the past few days creating valentines for different people and now I'm gonna share them! Today's is a simple one. I've been following a blog called the Graphics Fairy and I've found some beautiful art to use in my crafts! Check it out. You will not be disappointed! I just printed out one of her heart frames then wrote my corny poem inside. They will be distributed tomorrow to some special ladies.
Check in tomorrow for another Valentine idea! Hugs!
