Life Book first page

I worked on my first page for the Life Book Class I am taking (see side bar for link)  and here it is....
I am quite psyched about it as I haven't drawn since high school and thought I was not able to.  We were to draw then paint a 'goddess' version of ourselves and list our postive qualities.  Hard to list and I needed Jim's help, but it got done! :)

Goodbye Lassie

My aunt and uncle in Quebec had a beautiful Shetland Sheepdog they named Lassie.  She was quiet, gentle, beuatiful little soul.... I found out just before Christmas that Lassie died in her sleep after about 15 years of making her family and their friends very happy.  Those that know m know I will go out of my way to make cards for people, but especially when it involves a death of a pet.  These little souls are our babies, companions and their loss should be acknowledged.
Anyway, I wanted to make something special for my aunt and uncle for this loss.  These are photos of a fold out picture book I altered to make a mini display for them.

New Year, New Goals

Meanwhile, I'll leave you with some letters I covered for the children of a really good friend.  The idea being they could place them on their bedroom doors, or in their bedrooms as decoration.  Due to our financial situation, I made pretty much all my gifts this year.  Hope you enjoy!

St. Patrick's Day and International Quilting Day!

Woohoo! Time for some green Quilts! LOL! Not often that these two days land on the same weekend. I finally finished one of my UFOs (unfinis...
