Skull Phone Fobs

Hi all!

We are taking a combo holiday later this year, land and sea.  Disney of course! Check out my last Disney project: Crocheted Mickey ears.  This time I did something for the teens and tweens.  This Disney Cruise is in the Caribbean and they have a pirate theme night each cruise in this area.  This age group is tricky, but I figured that skulls made up to attach the the phones, their clothes or even their bag might be appreciated.  So I went to the bead store and got supplies.
The string of skull beads was $20 for 20, the straight pins were $4.15 for 100, and the charm holders were $3 for 5.  Total about $1.64 per.  There are jump rings and small beads also, but I had them in my stash.  An hour of my time and I had 15 made up!  Aren't they great!
Hugs!
Cindy :)

Grow your blog

Hello!

Sorry for the delayed post!
Tehnical difficulties with Google and Microsoft not wishing to play together!

I am a crafter.  I love to play with paper, fabric, paint, fibres and sometimes all of the above!
I started Scrapbooking for my mental health about 16 years ago.  Then stamping and card making was added 14 years ago.

I used to do a lot of cross stitch but had to give it up when I developed carpal tunnel syndrome.  (I have since re-aquired a few booklets and some threads to do smaller projects)  This past year saw me learning to crochet.  The catalyst for this is an upcoming trip and I wished to make little gifts for an exchange.  Check out my crocheted Mickey ears!

I have also started on an Altered Art Journal journey.  I love to learn how to use my tools in a variety of ways, since I have collected WAY too many tools and supplies of the years!  (Haven't we all?)
So please feel free to browse through past posts and hopefully follow me as I discover (new to me) techniques and share them!

Hugs to you all!

Cindy :)

Happy New Year!

It's 2014!

New beginnings, new projects, new resolutions!
Now that I have had some R&R with my hubby this Christmas holiday, I am renewed to continue to play and share with all of you!

Today I am starting a month long online prompting course called Creative Jump Start 2014.  I did this last year and it really motivated me to go outside my comfort zone a bit and just be creative!  You're not too late to join in on the fun if you wish.  She decided to charge a nominal fee this year and I still jumped at it! (sorry, pun not intended)  It really is worth the time and cash.  Check it out at the link or by clicking on the side bar image by the same name!

As I need to share something with all of you, here is my Christmas card for 2013...
I cut and embossed Blue Iris Shimmer Sheets by Elizabeth Craft Designs (3x5") with Sizzix Merry Christmas embossing folder and then matted it on white card stock (3.25x x 5.25").  Wrapped navy blue cardstock with a strip of blue Magenta Maruyama ribbon then adhered the above matted papers.  The candles (Elizabeth Craft Designs Candle Peel-Offs) were placed on glitter covered double sided Sookwang sheets, coloured in with Bic markers then cut out.  Then I simply peeled off the back and adhered to the front of the card.

St. Patrick's Day and International Quilting Day!

Woohoo! Time for some green Quilts! LOL! Not often that these two days land on the same weekend. I finally finished one of my UFOs (unfinis...
