Wow!
I've been busy making Christmas Cards for family members and now have time to sit down and post them! I am quite pleased with these, as it is the first time in a few years that my family has asked me to create cards for them to give away. So I've tried to make them pretty but not 'over the top' so that they can easily be mailed. Anyway, here you go!

Emergency Cards
So what do you do when you need a card but do not have your supplies handy?
Buy 1 8x8 pad of various solid papers, adhesive and decorative self adhesive border.
Now find a photo or two that would be appropriate for a card front.
Scenery, still life, animals...
Now crop the photo, single mat, and layer on top of border that has been stuck on a folded 8" piece of card from the pad you purchased. Voila!
Two thank you cards done in the nick of time!
Hugs!

Out of the box card
Hi again!
I've trying to challenge myself to do more layered cards with more elements.
My inspiration of course being my girlfriend Jackie Smith http://stamping4you.blogspot.com/
So here's a card I created lately for a store contest, but it did not win. Oh well!
Hugs to all!

Changes and info
Hi all!
I`ve created separate pages for the classes I am now teaching at Michaels and for the art I`ve had published. Felt kinda funny posting it on the main page all the time, so now it is on a separate page if you want to look at them. Michaels has suddenly started adding all sorts of paper craft classes and so I`ve created a separate page where you can see where and when to find me teaching them!
Just click on the pages on the top bar of this home page.
Meanwhile, here`s a card I made for a friend`s birthday lately:

AND I am now teaching at two Michaels stores now.

Now back to work on samples!

Weekly Posts & Cards
Ok. So much for the weekly posting vow.
I am sorry about that.
I will however try to keep posting regularly and giving you some more eye candy to look at.
I have been asked to do some extra demos at Michaels this week and I also volunteer at the Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers this week.
SO here is another couple pics of cards I taught in Markam, Ontario 5 years ago.
I still think they are pretty good!
This was for a beginner's stamping class.

SDU Classes Updated
Hey there!
I had to make some changes to my offered classes at Michaels and the changes are listed to the right side.
To give you something to look at, here is a layout I submitted for a Creative Keepsakes sketch in 2006 and never was selected. Oh well! I liked it! This is my god child, her brothers and dad. All siblings were enrolled in Air Cadets, years later after their dad was an Air Cadet. Too cool!

Hubby's Cards
Whenever my guy has a stressful week or I just feel like celebrating Valentine's Day the whole week, I make a week's worth of cards just for him. This week was one of those weeks. Here are the some of the cards I gave him this week. Apparently I forgot to photograph the last 3 :)

Class Time Today
I am getting ready for my current class series today (week 2) and thought I'd post an updated photo of my demo board that is up at the Michaels I work at.

Too Long!
I knew it had been a while, but WOW! Sorry about the silence.
I now make a vow that I will post at least once a week on Sundays.
Hopefully more often!
We've been busy with job changes in the family and fighting the winter blues.
I know it's too common to complain about the weather, but it has been a longer and colder winter here in Edmonton than normal and we are desperate for SPRING!
I have a page I completed a month ago that expresses that hope.
My girlfriend Jacquie at http://www.stamping4you.blogspot.com/ shared this technique called painting with glitter. She has also been sharing her Cricut machine with me and I am very grateful! So an 8x8 die cut lace background onto double sided sticker sheet (sookwang), apply glitter painting technique, mat a photo from our Vegas vacation, and adhere to finished background.

From Our Hearts
On New Years Eve I sent off my first box of cards to what I think is a great organisation.
I have been donating extra cards to local senior homes and local fundraising projects organised by friends.
I heard about this group through a group I make asian cards with and decided to create a box of cards from extras that have been hanging around my craft room. (this is step 1 in my cleaning up my craft space) When I was done, I had completed 150 cards!
This organisation packages up and sends cards to troups fighting over seas on behalf of many countries. This provides handmade cards for our troups to send home to their loved ones. (at no cost) If you are interested, click on the logo for 'From Our Hearts' and it will bring you to their web page.
Hugs!
